DeviceAnatomy Beta

For biomed and maintenance techs

Every part, from your own manual, on one screen.

Upload a service manual you already have. You get the exploded view from your own manual, every callout clickable, every part cited to its page. Then we delete the PDF.

If your manual has no parts figure, you get the cited parts list.

  • Every row cited to a page
  • Private to you
  • Manual deleted after processing
  • First 10 beta testers: 30 days free
Demo manual: the V-200 is a fictional pump we drew for this page. Real app, real figure view.
  • Click a callout: the figure zooms in and its part number, description and manual page appear.
  • Click a row in the parts list: the figure jumps to its callout.
  • The parts list stays beside the figure the whole time.
Demo manual, fictional device. The drawing and part numbers 9100-000-011 to 025 are made up. With your manual, you see your manual's own figure, private to you.

How it works

Three steps, about as long as a coffee

  1. Upload a manual you're allowed to use

A service or operations manual PDF you already have, from your phone or desktop. You confirm you have the right to use it.

  2. Get the parts, cited to the page

Every part row shows its part number, description, quantity and the manual page it came from. Anything uncertain is flagged, not guessed.

  3. Click through your manual's own figure

The exploded view from your manual, with every printed callout clickable and the parts list beside it. Click a callout to see its part, or a row to find it on the figure. Search a part number. It's saved in your private library.

The PDF is deleted when processing ends. We keep the parts rows and the parts figures cut from it, for you only. Not the manual.

Who it's for

Techs who open unfamiliar equipment

Launch

Biomed / HTM techs

Infusion pumps, stretchers and beds, patient monitors, defibrillators, electrosurgical units, temperature management. Get the layout of a device before you open it.

Testing

Plant maintenance

Compressor and pump manuals with exploded views work the same way: callouts linked to the parts list. Manuals without a parts figure get the cited parts list.

Straight answers

What it is, and what it isn't

It is

  • The parts list from your manual, with the page cited on every row.
  • The exploded view from your manual, every callout clickable, every part cited to its page. If your manual has no parts figure, you get the cited parts list.
  • Built for most digital service and operations manuals. Scanned manuals are in beta.
  • Private to your account. The manual is deleted after processing.

It isn't

  • Repair instructions. No procedures, specs, torque values, test limits or calibration values.
  • A drawing of our own. You see the figures your manual already has, nothing more. A callout that isn't in the parts list is shown as not in the list, never guessed.
  • 100% accurate. AI can make mistakes. Check every part on its cited page before you order.
  • A manual library. We don't host or provide manuals, and never will.
  • Approved by or affiliated with any manufacturer.
  • For patient data. Don't upload anything with patient information. It isn't HIPAA-compliant.

Pricing

One plan. First manual free.

$10 / month
  • Your first manual is free
  • Private library of every anatomy you build

FAQ

Questions techs ask first

What happens to my manual?

We process your manual and delete it. The PDF is deleted as soon as processing ends, and never kept longer than 24 hours, even if a job fails. We keep the parts rows we extracted (with their page numbers), the parts figures cut from your manual so you can click through them, and a fingerprint of the file, so you can see which document a result came from. All of it is private to you, and you can delete it any time.

To read the pages we use an AI service. Under its own policy, that provider may keep what it processed for up to 30 days before deleting it. It doesn't use that data to train its models. Details are in the privacy policy.

Can I upload any manual? What about copyright?

Upload only manuals you have the right to use, such as ones your shop or facility holds, or that came with the equipment. Some manuals come with license terms. Following them is your responsibility, and you confirm it when you upload.

Your results are private. There's no public gallery and no share links. The figures you see are cut from the manual you uploaded and are shown to you only; we never host, share or show them to anyone else. Some makers' terms forbid AI processing of their manuals, so we refuse those files and tell you why.

Rights holders can reach us at [email protected].

Whose drawing is it?

Your manual's. We find the exploded views and parts figures in the manual you upload, read the callout numbers printed on them, and link each one to the parts-list row with the same item number. Matching is by the printed number only: a callout with no row is shown as "not in the parts list", never guessed. If your manual has no parts figure, you get the cited parts list. The clip on this page uses a demo manual we wrote for a fictional pump.

Does it tell me how to fix it?

No. It shows anatomy and parts only: no procedures, torque values, test limits, calibration values or pass/fail calls. Follow the manufacturer's procedures, safety warnings and your facility's policies.

How accurate is it?

Every part row is checked against the page it came from, and rows that fail that check are dropped instead of shown. Rows we're less sure of are flagged amber or red. When the manual lists different part numbers for different configurations, you see all of them, labelled, and choose.

AI can still make mistakes, so check the cited page before you order.

Which manuals and makers work?

It works with manuals you already have: most digital (text-based) service and operations manuals, including multi-brand fleets. Scanned manuals are in beta and use more of your monthly allowance. Files up to 50 MB and 400 pages. We refuse files with no readable text, files that look like service records or patient data, and manuals from makers whose terms forbid AI processing.

Can I upload service reports or anything with patient info?

No. DeviceAnatomy is for manuals only. It's not HIPAA-compliant and not built for patient data. Files that look like service records are refused and deleted.

Who's building this?

I'm Chris, a biomed tech (BMET background, M.S. in biomedical engineering). I built this because figuring out an unfamiliar device means hunting through parts tables across hundreds of PDF pages. It's a beta, and I read every piece of feedback.

Can my team or training program use it?

At launch each account is for one person. If you run a shop, an HTM department or a training program, join the waitlist and pick "other". I'll get in touch about a pilot.

How do I cancel?

Any time, from your account. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for. You can delete any result, or your whole account, whenever you like.

The beta opens in November. The first 10 testers from the waitlist get 30 days free, no card needed. Everyone else on the list gets first access and their first manual free.

We'll only email you about DeviceAnatomy. Unsubscribe any time.

What do you fix?

Device type is plenty. No serial numbers, asset tags or patient info.

By joining you agree to our privacy policy. We keep your email, what you fix and your note, and nothing else. We never sell it.
