This page covers deviceanatomy.com and its waitlist. It's short because we collect very little.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we keep:
- your email address,
- your role: what you fix (biomed/HTM, plant/industrial, or something else),
- your optional note: the device you'd try first, if you wrote one,
- and the date and time you signed up.
That's all. No cookies, no ad trackers, no analytics scripts. If you switch the page to dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser only.
To stop spam, we count sign-up attempts from each connection for one hour. We count them under a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, not the address itself, and the count deletes itself after the hour.
Why
To invite you to the beta and to tell you when DeviceAnatomy launches. Your role and note help us pick which devices to support first. We only email you about DeviceAnatomy.
Who sees it
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising. Only the DeviceAnatomy team can read the waitlist.
Where it's stored
The website and the waitlist run on Cloudflare. Sign-ups are stored in Cloudflare's storage service (Workers KV). Cloudflare also handles your connection to the site, which means it processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. Email to [email protected] is handled by Google Workspace (Gmail).
How to get removed
Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and ask to be removed. We delete your sign-up and confirm by email. You can also ask what we hold about you. Every email we send has a way to opt out.
When the app opens
Manuals you upload to the app are deleted as soon as processing ends, and never kept longer than 24 hours, even if a job fails. We keep the parts rows we extracted (with their page numbers), the parts figures cut from your manual and a fingerprint of the file, all private to you, and you can delete them any time. To read the pages we use an AI service; under its own policy it may keep what it processed for up to 30 days, and it doesn't use that data to train its models. Don't upload anything with patient information. We'll update this page before the beta opens.
